Minecraft church
Every Thursday from 3-5, we host Minecraft church online on our server and in person during the Family Cafe drop-in. Learn how to connect below, or play at church on one of our devices or your own. Our Minecraft world is also a great place for virtual spiritual accompaniment for children. Join us at the second Wednesday Weekly of each month for Minecraft In Real Life!

How to join our Minecraft Church world from home:
From a Nintendo Switch
(Bedrock Edition)

Join from Nintendo Switch
Join Minecraft Church through our Microsoft/Xbox friend account: HowellFUMC.
Before you begin
You need an updated copy of Minecraft for Nintendo Switch, a Nintendo Account with Nintendo Switch Online membership covering the player, and a free Microsoft account signed in inside Minecraft.
For children, a parent or guardian should approve online multiplayer, cross-network play and adding friends. Check both Microsoft family settings and Nintendo parental controls if a feature is restricted.
1 / Sign in inside Minecraft
Open Minecraft on the Switch using the player's Nintendo profile. Choose Sign in with a Microsoft Account. On a phone or computer, open the address shown on the Switch, enter its code and sign in to the player's Microsoft account. Check that their Xbox gamertag appears in Minecraft.
2 / Add HowellFUMC as a friend
Open Play, then the Friends area or friends icon. Choose Search for Players or Find Cross-Platform Friends. Search for HowellFUMC and add that account as a friend. Use Minecraft's Microsoft/Xbox player search; a Nintendo Switch friend code is a different system.
If you cannot find player search on the Switch, a parent can use the Xbox app on a phone, signed in to the same Microsoft account used in Minecraft, to add HowellFUMC.
3 / Join Minecraft Church
Allow a minute for the friend connection to update. Return to Play and look for HowellFUMC among joinable friends' games. Depending on your Minecraft version, this may appear under Friends or Worlds. Select the game and choose Join. Follow any welcome or verification instructions when you arrive.
Need a hand?
If HowellFUMC does not appear, confirm you used the same Microsoft account, reopen Minecraft and check while the church server is available. If multiplayer is disabled, check online membership and family permissions. For connection errors, update Minecraft and restart the game.
Contact Pastor Chris at cfministry@howellfumc.com with the player's gamertag and error message.
Switch players: use the HowellFUMC friend connection above. The Add Server instructions are for phones, tablets and Windows Bedrock devices.
